PTI lawmakers protested in the National Assembly on Wednesday over alleged rigging in the recent Gilgit-Baltistan elections, even as the government renewed its invitation for talks with the opposition.

Despite the disruption, the House passed two bills and heard a detailed briefing on diplomatic efforts to support Pakistani nationals imprisoned abroad.

Leader of the House said dialogue remained the 'only road' to political stability, but PTI's parliamentary leader insisted any negotiations must begin with the release of party founder Imran Khan.
